The terrific and very popular smorgasbord lunch at the Norwegian Seamen’s Church

The lodge members will have a tour of the church preceding the luncheon. Arrive at 11am for that.

LLM Marches in the Annual 17th of May Parade
This year the parade honors “Norwegian Women Athletes” and especially Grete Waitz.
Parade route has been changed to march down 3rd Ave. LLM will assemble at 12:30 at 84th between 3rd Ave. and Ridge Blvd. This year the Churches and Civic groups march first and SON lodges will be last. But lucky for us, the famous Woodland String Band (Mummers) of Philadelphia will be at the end of the parade, right behind us--ensuring that we'll surely step lively. Wear your Bunad or Lusekofte. If you don’t have either, then wear red, wite and blue. Norwegian-American baseball caps are sold by local vendors. After the ceremony we usually walk over to the Swedish Club for hamburgers/beer or walk to a local restaurant. Email LLM_nyc@yahoo.com if you are marching with us on Parade Day.
